Paulina Gutierrez-Ramirez

Paulina graduated from Boston University in 2022 with a Bachelor of Arts in Neuroscience, and she is currently enrolled at Harvard Extension School under their premedical program. During her time as an undergraduate, she completed an internship at the DCRP from 2021-2022, in which she assisted Drs. Felipe Jain and Liliana Ramirez-Gomez, with transcribing research subject interviews in Spanish, managed, informed, and strategized research participant recruitment via Instagram and analyzed qualitative data, among other responsibilities. Her research interests include depression, mindfulness therapies, and mental health accessibility to underserved communities and in countries where mental health stigma is still prominent. She also spends her time volunteering at a suicide hotline and working as a medical assistant at the Intravenous Ketamine Clinic for Depression at MGH. After her work at the DCRP, Paulina plans to pursue a medical degree and become a psychiatrist.
