Depression treatments that are available today are the result of decades of research.

In this study, you will first come to our clinic in downtown Boston for an initial screening visit, which will include meeting with a doctor for a full psychiatric evaluation. In addition, you will complete a series of questionnaires and tests. This visit will take approximately 4 hours to complete and can be split into two parts.

You will attend biweekly sessions with one of the study doctors and will also complete weekly questionnaires. You will also receive weekly individual CBT sessions, which will last approximately 50 minutes. The CBT sessions and weekly questionnaire sessions can be combined into one visit and will last approximately 1 hour to 1 ½ hours in total. In addition, you will be provided with a FitBit Flex 2™ which will measure your activity level throughout the study. In total, you will come into our office 13 times over the course of approximately 14 weeks.

You will be compensated up to $70 and will have the opportunity to keep the FitBit for your participation in this study. We can also validate your parking if you park in one of the three MGH garages.
