Matias Cattani is a fourth-year undergraduate student studying biopsychology and biotechnology at Tufts University. During his time as an undergraduate, Matias worked as an undergraduate student researcher in the Do Monte Lab at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, Texas. Here, he investigated neural circuitry in a conflict model using behavioral, electrophysiological, and biochemical methods. In May 2022, Matias transitioned from his position as a patient observer in Mount Auburn Hospital to working as a Personal Care Assistant at a medical-surgical inpatient unit. In this position, he performs phlebotomy, EKGs, and more while assisting patients with ADLs. After his internship at the DCRP, Matias hopes to attend medical school and has a particular interest in psychiatry.
